About Me

I am a practicing studio artist and an art educator. I love teaching and making art.

I am from Turkey and live in beautiful coastal Maine since 2011. I created this blog to share my artwork and ideas. I mostly work with digital arts including character design, ceramics, printmaking, fiber arts, and photography and eager to try as many ways and techniques to create art. I draw my ideas from nature and love creating botanical illustrations. I often go for hikes and gather interesting plants and take pictures of birds and insects. Then I combine multiple pictures to create a botanical composition. Another passion of mine is to create illustrations based on human and animal expressions on my Wacom tablet. I use Photoshop and drawing tablet to create them. I am also a self-taught seamstress which is pretty cool because I love working with interesting fibers, fabric, and prints.
